Eta Aquarids Meteor Shower & Astronomy Lecture Nights
The Nights of May 3rd, 4th, & 5th, 2024

Join us for the 2024 lecture nights featuring our unique stargazing experience during the Eta Aquarids Meteor Shower along with an astronomy lectures! A different subject will be offered every night — so stay more than one night if you’d like to hear more than one lecture. Attendance will be limited to 16 people each night to preserve a more intimate setting. The hot tub will not be available on these nights. In addition to the lecture, you can expect our regularly programmed stargazing experience. The event will feature:

• The Eta Aquarids Meteor Shower with a close to new moon — meaning dark skies and perfect conditions for meteor viewing

• Nightly astronomy lectures

• Night sky viewing through our huge 14” Meade telescope

• SHIFTPOD accommodations with padded cots, small power supply for charging your devices, and galaxy lamps (you bring your own sleeping bags/pillows/bedding/etc.)

• Our huge grill, griddle, and stovetop shall you need either to prepare your dinner or breakfast

• Giant chess set and pool table onsite

• The always majestic Eastern Sierra views along with amazing sunsets

• This event takes place at our primary location just outside of Bishop, CA

$345/NIGHT FOR UP TO TWO PEOPLE IN ONE SHIFTPOD

Nightly Itinerary:

• Meet the shuttle or be guided up the mountain from the arrival meeting point at either 6 or 6:45 PM — you choose (You will need 4WD/AWD and some clearance if you want to drive your vehicle up)

• Make yourselves at home and enjoy the views and amenities

• Lecture will begin around 8:30 PM

• Telescope viewing will happen before and/or after the lecture

• The astronomer(s) will be around to answer your questions throughout the night

• Check out the next morning by 10:30 AM — or stay multiple nights

Please note that all sales are final and we cannot offer refunds for any reason. If we have to cancel or reschedule the event from our end for some crazy reason, you will of course retain a credit for a future observatory lecture night of your choice. If you are unable to make your reservation, you can certainly sell it or give it away to family/friends/whoever.
